1. Who we are

This website (funkyagain.london) runs the signup for the Funky Again event at XOYO, 32-37 Cowper Street, Shoreditch, London, on Sunday 4 October 2026. The event is presented by Funky Again (the promoter), which acts as the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this site.

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@funkyagain.london.

2. What we collect

Information you give us when you sign up through the form:

Information we collect automatically when you visit, for security, fraud prevention and advertising measurement:

Information we derive: every new signup is tagged at the "Lead" stage in our marketing system so we can tell who has registered interest. We do not build profiling, scoring or predictive models about you.

3. How we collect it

Directly from you when you submit the signup form. We also use the Meta Pixel, a measurement platform, to measure the performance of our advertising: it collects site activity and forwards it to Meta (Facebook) on our behalf. This tracking runs by default when you visit. To stop it you can use an ad-blocker or privacy extension, block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or opt out at the platform level in your Meta Ad Preferences. See §8. If your browser sends "Global Privacy Control" or "Do Not Track", we detect it and the tracking does not load at all.

4. Why we collect it

We use your personal data to:

We will only send you marketing by email, SMS or WhatsApp if you gave consent by ticking the consent box at signup. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Legal bases for processing (UK GDPR)

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it with the following providers who process it on our behalf to run the service:

If you choose to join the event's WhatsApp community, your phone number and WhatsApp profile name become visible to others in that group, and your participation is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. Joining is entirely optional.

Your data is held for this event by Funky Again and the processors above only. It is not shared with or sold to any other promoter.

7. Advertising audiences

We may upload hashed (one-way encrypted) versions of your email address or phone number to Meta to create "custom audiences" for promoting this event, and to build "lookalike" audiences of similar people. The data is hashed before it leaves us and is matched against existing platform users. You can opt out by emailing info@funkyagain.london.

8. Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies, all set first-party from our own domain:

Advertising events are sent to Meta through both browser and server channels, using shared event IDs so each action is only counted once, not twice.

To control this tracking you can: use any ad-blocker or privacy extension, enable "Do Not Track" / "Global Privacy Control" in your browser, manage cookies in your browser settings, or opt out at the platform level via Meta Ad Preferences. You can also email info@funkyagain.london and we will remove your data. Disabling cookies may affect how the site works.

9. Where your data goes (international transfers)

Your data is stored and processed in the UK (Funky Again) and the United States (Klaviyo). Some providers also process data in the United States (Meta, Vercel, Google). Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, that transfer is covered by an adequacy decision (UK–EU), the EU–US / UK–US Data Privacy Framework, or Standard Contractual Clauses / the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, as appropriate.

10. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data for as long as you remain subscribed, that is, until you withdraw consent, unsubscribe, or ask us to delete it. We use it to keep you updated about this event and similar Funky Again events. We review our marketing lists periodically and remove contacts who are no longer engaged. Aggregated, anonymised statistics that cannot identify you may be kept longer.

11. Marketing and how to opt out

Signing up gives consent for all three channels at once, there is a single tick box on the form, not a per-channel choice. You can withdraw consent on any channel independently at any time, and opting out of one does not opt you out of the others:

We action opt-outs promptly.

Text messages (SMS). By giving marketing consent you agree to receive text messages from Funky Again (sender ID "FunkyAgain") about this event and future Funky Again events: the presale link, on-sale and lineup updates, and reminders around the show. Expect a handful of messages around the presale and the event, not a daily stream. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out and HELP for help. Consent to text messages is not a condition of buying a ticket.

Your phone number is used to send those messages, to add you to the WhatsApp community if you choose to join it, and for the audience matching described in section 7. It is stored by Klaviyo (our messaging platform) and in our own backup (section 6), and is never sold. Your text message opt-in data and consent records (your number together with the fact that you agreed to receive texts) are not shared with any third party for their own purposes; the only parties that touch them are the processors that send the messages on our behalf.

This site has no shopping cart and sends no abandoned-cart messages. We do not track your location: the approximate country and city we hold come from your IP address at signup (section 2), for fraud prevention and to understand where the audience is, and no GPS or device location is used.

12. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@funkyagain.london; we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

13. Security

All traffic to and from this site is encrypted in transit (TLS). Your data at rest in Klaviyo is encrypted by that provider. Access is restricted to named members of the event team on a need-to-know basis.

14. Data breaches

If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to risk your rights and freedoms, we will report it to the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and notify you directly where the law requires.

15. Children

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it. The door policy for the event is set by the venue and is published on the event page once confirmed.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date and version at the top of this page identify the current version; material changes will be notified to current subscribers by email.
